Burning Question

A burning question is one where the answer is not in the text and cannot easily be inferred, therefore the author leaves the answer up to the reader's interpretation. Chris Van Allberg does this a lot in his stories. You and your partner will pick a book of your choice. You will read the story and then come up with a burning question for the story. You will make a question web with your question in the middle. Then you will write down all the possible answers you and your partner can infer from the text and your schema. You can also try and find other students who have read the book. You can ask them for their inferences and record them as well. You will do the assignment on white paper or in popplet. If you need help look at the example below.
