Matter
Introduction
I got ice cream from the ice cream truck the other day when I was on a bike ride with my son. I bought them and they looked like ice cream but we put them in my backpack and rode home in a couple of minutes. When we got back home to eat them they looked like milk. I were wondering how that happened. They did not look that way coming out of the truck. I started to wonder how many forms the ice cream could take and what caused the change to happen to the ice cream. I know that ice cream is matter so how many forms does matter have?
Task

You are going to spend the next couple of weeks learning about matter and the changes matter can go through. Then you will create a poster explaining about matter and changes that can happen to matter to hang on the side of the ice cream truck. This way others won’t lose their ice cream.

Process
You are going to spend the next couple of weeks learning about matter and the changes matter can go through. You will do a number of experiments in class and a STEM unit. Then you will create your flyer. Here are some links you can go to to help you learn about the 3 states of matter and the changes they can go through.
